Inspiring the Next Generation: Students Explore Science Behind Everyday Measurements

Port Moresby, 21 May 2025 – Most people don’t think twice about how much fuel they pump, the weight of their groceries, or the accuracy of a thermometer—but behind it all is the science of measurement, or Metrology. In celebration of World Metrology Day yesterday (20th of May), seven Grade 12 science students from Kundu International Academy were given the opportunity to explore this vital field during a visit to the Measurement Standards Laboratories (MSL) at the National Institute of Standards and Industrial Technology (NISIT).
