The PNGLAS currently operates the scheme ISO/IEC 17025 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories for testing laboratories only. This standard contains requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories and is used by laboratories in developing a management system for quality, administrative and technical operations. The scheme is open to voluntary participation from any PNG national testing laboratories in the fields of Construction materials, chemical and biological testing, which meet the PNGLAS accreditation requirements. Interested applicants can enquire and download respective requirements for specific fields of testing following the accreditation due process.
