About Radiation Control & Safety Division
The Radiation Control and Safety division within NISIT (National Institute of Standards and Industrial Technology) in Papua New Guinea is primarily concerned with regulating and ensuring the safe and peaceful use of nuclear energy and ionizing radiation to protect people and the environment. This includes establishing regulations, overseeing activities, and working with international bodies like the IAEA to build a robust radiation safety framework for PNG.
