For PNGLAS, quality is the degree to which the accreditation structure fulfils the expectations of the accredited laboratories and of their customers.
The Quality Policy is therefore aimed at delivering expert services in order to build up credibility and to foster confidence in the accredited laboratories and the conformity attests they issue.
Acceptance at the international level through participation in mutual recognition arrangements will be sought.

Impartiality is a core value of the PNGLAS, which underpins all accreditation activities. The PNGLAS legal status, structure and separation of tasks and functions from other governmental authorities set a background to operate in a transparent, objective and impartial manner. The PNGLAS is committed to upholding the integrity of its accreditation function by safeguarding impartiality of all its operations.
