Certification Overview

In general, “Certification” offers the formal recognition or attention that a company or an organization has satisfactorily complied with the requirements or conformed to an established Standard. Hence, the certification programs are designed to prove that the suppliers will have established quality level of his products or service, documented and implemented the appropriate management system to meet and sustain that level of quality and to address continuous improvement of their management system in accordance with the requirements of the appropriate internationally recognized management system Standards. PNGCES, through certification offers third-party Recognition on the ability of the supplier to deliver and sustain the supply of their products and quality services that meet the needs and expectation of its customers while at the same time encourage continuous quality improvement through regular Internal System Audits and Management Reviews as part of their continuous compliance to these international Standards.

The Certification Division (through its Consultation Service Unit) can provide advice and information to all interested clients especially those applying to seek our services under our current portfolio of services. We are committed to disseminating as much information possible to all who are interested in all of the services offered by the Certification Division.

Under this program, PNGCES will certify clients who have complied with the requirements in the International Standard ISO 14001 – 2004: Environmental Management System- Requirements with Guidance for Use. Clients are also required to comply with all relevant certification requirements as set out in the Terms & Conditions of Certification. The target market generally reflects those intending to seek third party assurance and recognition in aiding their business practices and reputation as environmentally oriented in the fierce business and competitive environment both domestically and abroad. 

The Certification Standard is ISO 14001:2004. The Standard is widely used over the world today for companies seeking environmental commitments to be associated with their business management practices. The program has implications for the Management System of the Environment, Environmental Auditing, Environmental Labeling, Environmental Performance Evaluation and the Environmental Life Cycle Assessment. Like certification to ISO 9001, Certification to ISO 14001 is fast becoming a market requirement in international trade where emphasis is on compliance to environmental regulations and guidelines on products and services sustainability. 

Under this program, PNGCES will certify clients who have complied with the requirements of the International standard ISO 9001 – 2000: Quality Management System – Requirements. On the part of the clients, they will have to also comply with all relevant certification requirements as set out in the Terms and Conditions of Certification. The target market generally reflects those intending to seek third party assurance and recognition in aiding their business practices and reputation as quality oriented in the fierce business and competitive environment both domestically and abroad. 

The Certification Standard is ISO 9001:2000. The Standard is widely used over the world today for companies embracing quality as an integrated aspect of their business management practices. More companies are seeking ISO 9001 certification as it is proven that Certification does add value to the business management practices of already certified businesses and organizations through the emphasis of continuous quality improvement.

Under this program, clients are to comply with the requirements in the International Standard ISO 22000 – 2005: Food Safety Management System Requirements for Any Organizations in a Food Chain. PNGCES will certify clients who have complied with the appropriate requirements in the international Standard ISO 22000 – 2005. Clients are also required to comply with all relevant certification requirements as set out in the Terms & Conditions of Certification. The target market generally reflects those intending to seek third party assurance and recognition in aiding their business practices and reputation as food safety oriented in the fierce business and competitive environment both domestically and abroad. More specifically, for organizations and companies in a food chain, being certified provides the assurance along the food chain particularly in the food industry sector.

The Certification Standard is ISO 22000:2005. The Standard is now being used over the world today for companies seeking Food Safety to be endorsed as an integral part of their business management practices from a “food chain perspective”.
